The India A vs India B is one such match which has seen stars like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Musheer Khan, Akash Deep, Mukesh Kumar, Shubman Gill, Kuldeep Yadav play against each other.

On Saturday, a delivery from India B's Mukesh Kumar hit Akash Deep's chest. Akash Deep has played one Test for India while Mukesh Kumar three Tests, six ODIs and 17 T20Is for India.

On Tuesday, the Indian team arrived in Kanpur ahead of the series-deciding 2nd Test at the Green Park Stadium. The team had a fun trip from Chennai to Kanpur, with the players having banter with each other. While Mohammed Siraj and Axar Patel were seen bonding over 'filter coffee' and 'chocolate', R Ashwin revealed he was being 'bullied' by his teammates, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja.
India dominated Bangladesh in almost every department in the first Test in Chennai. Three Indians scored centuries while Ravichandran Ashwin took a six-wicket haul also. Even in the fielding department, India were far above Bangladesh. In fact, Bangladesh's fielding was so insipid that Tamim Iqbal and Ravi Shastri blasted the Najmul Hossain Shanto-led side. After the match, India's fielding coach T Dilip sat down to analyse the team members' efforts.  He had four picks for the top spots.

While commenting on the hosts team's performance, former Pakistan player Basit Ali praised the Indian side but warned its opener Yashasvi Jaiswal to not throw his wicket away.
Ravichandran Ashwin, playing in Chennai, performed both with the bat and the ball for India against Bangladesh in the first Test. His century and six-wicket haul helped India register a 280-run win with ease against Bangladesh. After the win, Ashwin indulged in a fun discussion on the first Test where he praised Yashasvi Jaiswal. The young India opener has been in great touch since the time he made his debut for the national team. Jaiswal became the first batter in the 147-year history of Test cricket to score more than 750 runs in his first 10 innings at home. The record previously belonged to George Headley of West Indies who slammed 747 back in 1935.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Men's Selection Committee announced India's squad for the second Test against Bangladesh. In a release issued by the BCCI, the selection committee retained the same squad for the second Test. The second Test will be played in Kanpur from 27th September. There were talks around KL Rahul's position in the team, especially after the way he performed in the series opener at Chepauk. But, the selection committee decided to give him another chance. However, it would be interesting to see if Sarfaraz Khan is preferred over him in the playing XI.
India's start to a long Test season did not start on a smooth note on Thursday as Bangladesh bowlers kept the Rohit Sharma-led side under pressure. India had a poor start with seniors like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli falling for single digit scores. Had it not been for some solid show from the middle order, India's would have been on a much trickier spot on the first day of the first Test in Chennai.  Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal stood out with a patient 118-ball 56 as he struck a 62-run stand with Rishabh Pant (39, 52b). However, there were occasions when the two could have been run out.
