Out of the all the 10 Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans are one of the most passionate ones.

Their team is four-time champions in the Indian Premier League and their love for the MS Dhoni-led side is undying. CSK fans often visit the stadium just to see their team practice at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

They also have several fan clubs and often travel together for CSK's away matches. The CSK team management is also aware of this and sometimes they organise for their travel too.

In a recent video, a CSK fan impressed with his dancing skills as he coordinated perfectly with IPL cheerleaders during an IPL 2023 match. Not much, just the first 68 games. The IPL is a curious beast: the biggest tournament in cricket, the richest in any ballgame, the greatest show in Asia – and yet eminently missable. Its bosses at the Indian board still haven’t worked out how to give it meaning. It works for the players and coaches, who get massive fees and two months of further education. To most cricket lovers, though, the teams still feel like mere franchises and the story of each game is written in invisible ink.
Devon Conway, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Deepak Chahar brought their 'A' game to the fore as Chennai Super Kings cantered to a 77-run crushing victory over Delhi Capitals to seal an IPL play-off berth in Delhi on Saturday. Playing a must-win game, Conway (87 off 52) and Gaikwad (79 off 50) smashed brilliant half-centuries to help Chennai Super Kings post a challenging 223/3 after captain MS Dhoni opted to bat. Skipper David Warner, DC's best batter this season, waged a lone battle, scoring 86 off 58 deliveries. But in the end the home team could manage only 146/9 in 20 overs after Chahar dealt a killer blow removing a couple of top-order batters within Powerplay overs.
One of the greatest captains in the game of cricket, MS Dhoni is in the 'final phase' of his career, as he himself suggested. Though it isn't known if the Chennai Super Kings skipper plans to play another season in the Indian Premier League, fellow cricketers have been paying their tributes to the 'Thala'. In an exclusive chat with NDTV, Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Faf du Plessis, who spent most of his IPL career playing for the Chennai franchise, had nothing but praise for the CSK skipper.
England Test captain Ben Stokes is still unable to bowl and is only "batting cover", his coach at IPL side Chennai Super Kings says, in a fresh injury scare weeks before the Ashes.
Struggling with fitness issues, England Test captain Ben Stokes is set to return home after Chennai Super Kings' final IPL league match to give himself enough time to prepare for next month's Ashes. The 31-year-old, who was bought by CSK for Rs 16.25 crore during the IPL auction in December 2022, participated in just the first two matches for CSK, scoring 7 and 8 and conceded 18 runs in his only over with the ball.
