Mumbai Indians (MI) all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar bounced back from a expensive outing against Punjab Kings with a solid performance against the Gujarat Titans on Tuesday.

Arjun, who conceded 48 runs and picked up just one wicket in three overs against PBKS, struck in the powerplay once again, dismissing GT opener Wriddhiman Saha.

Despite conceding just nine runs in his two overs in the powerplay, Arjun didn't get the chance to bowl out his remaining overs.

However, Arjun was seen in a new avatar after he got a chance to bat for MI, following their top-order collapse. The 23-year-old instantly sent the fans into overdrive with a nonchalant six off Mohit Sharma's delivery in the last over of the match.

One such instance saw Suryakumar play a cover drive and he opened the face of the bat at the right moment so that it flew over the third-man fielder for a six. David slammed the first ball straight down the ground for a six and then followed it up with another maximum through mid-wicket. The pressure was completely on the West Indies international and the third ball was also dispatched over the deep square leg fielder for the final six. The crowd erupted in cheers and even Sachin Tendulkar could be seen smiling.
Sachin Tendulkar has scarred many bowlers for life with his imperious batting but Bantoo Singh saw the 'spirit of Curtly Ambrose' in 'Little Master' when he was hit by his bouncer that left him with a bloody nose with multiple fractures during an ill-tempered Ranji match between Delhi and Mumbai in 1991. Bantoo, one of the pillars of Delhi's batting between mid 80s and mid 90s, can now afford to laugh when he jogs his memory 32 summers back to April 20, 1991. "Mere naak ka naqshaa hi badaal gaya Sachin ke uss bouncer ke baad. Mere paas ab naya naak hai (The design of my nose changed after that Sachin bouncer. I have a new nose now)," Bantoo said during an interaction with PTI on the eve of legend's 50th birthday.
To the Indians, Sachin Tendulkar is the man for "all seasons". It has been 10 years since he bid farewell to international cricket, leaving the nation full of moist eyes. As India's favourite son completes his 50th birthday, PTI chronicles his life and times in an alphabetical manner. It could be people, places and events related to the great man, which have dominated our lives for a better part of three-and-a-half decades.
