Vincent Kompany opens door for Taylor Harwood-Bellis transfer from Man City to Burnley

New Burnley manager Vincent Kompany has refused to rule out the prospect of signing Manchester City centre-back Taylor Harwood-Bellis in this summer's transfer window.

Burnley are desperate to strengthen their armoury ahead of the new Championship season starting in less than five weeks time.

The Clarets — who snapped up MK Dons star Scott Twine on Sunday — are facing one of their biggest summer transfer windows in recent years, with several big-name players having already left the club, including Nick Pope, who has joined Newcastle United, Ben Mee and James Tarkowski.

It means that Kompany has the challenge of rebuilding the squad, all while trying to deliver promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
