Both men were scheduled to take on different opponents but after Khamzat Chimaev missed weight on Friday, a chain reaction led us down the path of Diaz vs Ferguson – a bout many of us have wanted to see for quite some time.
While we didn’t exactly see the two in their prime, we did see them give everything they had in the name of getting their hand raised.
That speaks volumes about the professionalism of these competitors and in the end, after four entertaining rounds, it was the king of Stockton who pulled off a remarkable submission win to defeat ‘El Cucuy’ and close the chapter on his UFC career.
