Carl Froch believes Tyson Fury’s father, John, should maintain a distance from his son’s forthcoming rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.

The pair are set to clash for the second time on December 21 in Riyadh following their first encounter in May, where Usyk dealt ‘The Gypsy King’ his first professional defeat through a split decision.

This victory crowned Usyk as the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999. John Fury, who was present in Tyson’s corner during the May bout, faced heavy criticism for his advice.

Following the fight, figures such as boxing great Ricky Hatton suggested Tyson should consider removing his father from his training team ahead of the rematch.
