Triple H: Several WWE stars undergo name changes thanks to new Head of Creative

Triple H is changing a lot within WWE right now, and that includes the names of some of the members of the roster. In his final few years in charge of WWE, Vince McMahon would change the names of several members of the roster.

Vince would either completely change the names, like turning Pete Dunne into Butch, or he’d shorten the names of his talent, like when he turned Tommaso Ciampa just into Ciampa this year.

However, now that Vince has retired and Triple H has taken over as Head of Creative, that edict is set to change. Not only are wrestlers not going to have their names changed upon their call-ups to the main roster, unless in specific cases, it seems like some WWE stars are going to have their name changes reversed.

On last night’s episode of Raw, we saw that Riddle is now going by Matt Riddle again, after having his name changed by Vince McMahon in 2020.
