Tottenham striker Harry Kane is likely to start every Premier League and Champions League game before the World Cup, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge. Spurs play nine games in October and then another four before the tournament gets underway in the middle of November.
When Antonio Conte was asked about the fixture congestion at the end of August, he admitted that Kane would be rested at some point, with Tottenham set to play seven times in 21 days.
The postponement of the trip to Manchester City last month meant that Conte’s side instead played just six times in that period.
But with the Champions League in full flow and a midweek round of league games coming up, Spurs will be in action every three or so days until the season pauses next month.
