Tottenham: Conte talks about £200k-a-week star 'all the time' at Hotspur Way

Tottenham striker Harry Kane is likely to start every Premier League and Champions League game before the World Cup, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

Spurs play nine games in October and then another four before the tournament gets underway in the middle of November.

When Antonio Conte was asked about the fixture congestion at the end of August, he admitted that Kane would be rested at some point, with Tottenham set to play seven times in 21 days.

The postponement of the trip to Manchester City last month meant that Conte’s side instead played just six times in that period.

But with the Champions League in full flow and a midweek round of league games coming up, Spurs will be in action every three or so days until the season pauses next month.

Kane also started both Nations League games with England, meaning he’s already been picked from the off 12 times in less than two months for club and country.

Regardless, Bridge reckons that Kane is likely to start every European and league fixture over the next month or so.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “I think he’ll start every game bar Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup; I do.

“Just listening to Conte off-camera, when he speaks to the written press, he just mentions Kane all the time, I don’t think he can afford to not play him.

“Maybe if Tottenham win their two Champions League home games, then he might go with Heung-Min Son and Richarlison in the final game and Kane on the bench, but I think Conte would be getting seriously itchy feet.”

As Bridge alluded to, Kane surely won’t start the trip to Forest in the cup, especially with the game coming just a couple of days before Tottenham host Liverpool in a crunch Premier League clash.
