Todd Cantwell has been given a real life example of what being frozen out under Philippe Clement looks like. And former Burnley and Belgium international striker Jelle Vossen has revealed how the current Rangers boss left him with the biggest disappointment of his entire career during a year under his command at Club Brugge.
It comes after Cantwell was hooked by the brutal Belgian after just 35 minutes during a draw with Aris Limassol in the Europa League.
And now 34-year-old veteran Vossen, who won 12 caps for Belgium and is in the country's all-time top ten list of goalscorers in the top flight, insists the biggest setback of his playing career came under Clement.
Vossen enjoyed five years at Brugge, but was completely forced out of the club after Clement made his feelings clear he wouldn't be playing him.
