Tipperary's former All-Star Conor Sweeney has retired from intercounty senior football at the age of 34.The Ballyporeen man made his championship debut against Laois in 2010 and over the next decade developed into one of the leading forwards in the country.In 2020, in the iconic green and white Bloody Sunday colours, Sweeney captained Tipperary to their first Munster Senior Football title since 1935 in a surprise win over Cork.His performances throughout that 2020 championship earned him an All-Star - becoming the third Premier footballer to win the award after Declan Browne and Michael Quinlivan (Arravale Rovers' Brian Lacey also won an All-Star in 1998 but in the colours of Kildare).Tipperary have forced extra time against Limerick after this superb free from Conor Sweeney deep into added time.
