Home favourite Timi Zajc took gold in the final ski jumping World Cup competition of the season in Planica, Slovenia. Zajc claimed the third World Cup victory of his career and led a home one-two with compatriot Anze Lanisek taking silver.

Lanisek spoke for the whole of the ski jumping community when on the podium he held up a cut-out of Polish star Dawid Kubacki and broke down in tears.
