Locals were woken by the sound of an air ambulance this morning following a horrific incident near a supermarket in Bury. Police officers, fire crews and paramedics rushed to Spring Street, near Asda on Friday morning (October 6) after a man became trapped under a digger - leaving him seriously hurt.

According to eye witness reports, the man was trapped under a tractor that he was unloading from a HGV. The man suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries according to GMP.
