This article is part of Football League World’s ‘Terrace Talk‘ series, which provides personal opinions from our FLW Fan Pundits regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more… One League One signing that certainly caught the eye during the earlier stages of the transfer window was Conor Hourihane’s arrival at Derby County. The midfielder was seemingly a target at several Championship clubs at the time, with the Rams managing to win that particular race.
Playing every minute of Derby’s League One campaign thus far, Hourihane opened his account on the opening day of the season, netting an 80th minute winner with an excellent strike from outside the area.
Speaking about Hourihane’s addition and how he has fared up thus far, Football League World’s Derby County fan pundit Jason Straw said: “Conor Hourihane so far in a Derby shirt has been pretty much I think what most Derby fans was expecting when he came in. “You can see he’s got quality.
You can see he has played at a higher level. You can see that he’s one the best, if not the best midfielder in the division. “There’s some people that say we’ve not seen the best out of him.
