Callum McGregor and Joe Hart cracking the whip. Adam Idah cracking the jokes. That was the dressing room chemistry that helped Celtic produce a title surge just as Brendan Rodgers’ side were most in need of a positive reaction to a mid-season wobble.
Idah’s on-field impact was clear for all to see after arriving on a deadline day loan from Norwich and banging in nine goals including a last gasp Scottish Cup Final winner to clinch the double.
But the Irishman’s craic off the park went largely unseen by the punters. According to Liam Scales it was another huge factor in the change in mood when the pressure really kicked in towards the end of the season.
And it’s another reason, on top of his predatory instincts on the park, that he’d love to see his Ireland team mate back terrorising Premiership defences this season.
