Teenage sansation Troy Podmilsak makes freestyle history in Georgia at World Championships

Teenager Troy Podmilsak shattered new World Championship ground by becoming the first American to grab big air gold in Georgia.

The 18-year-old beat Austrian ace Lukas Muellauer and Norwegian Birk Ruud as Matej Svancer — Muellauer's compatriot — narrowly missed out on a medal in Bakuriani.

Ad Podmilsak claimed scores of 91.25 and 96.50 on his pair of runs to beat Muellauer to the summit of the podium by 3.25 points.
