Tao Geoghegan Hart says he has to be «patient» as he continues to recover from a complex fracture to his left femur suffered on Stage 11 of Giro d'Italia.

The British rider left the Giro in an ambulance after a freak crash that also saw team-mate Geraint Thomas and Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) go down.

Ad With a return date still unknown, Hart is currently undergoing rehabilitation in the Netherlands and says he is spending his time «doing some other things» away from cycling.
