Bohemians have tied down talented 18-year-old midfielder James McManus on a new multi-year deal.Having come through Bohs' partner club St Kevin's FC and later the Gypsies' academy, McManus broke into the first team last season, making his league debut against UCD early in the campaign. He went on to make 13 league appearances and has pushed on further this season, really catching the eye in the five games he has played for Declan Devine’s side so far."I am extremely pleased that we are in a position to reward James’ contribution to the team with a new and improved contract," said Devine."He is an incredible prospect as anyone who has seen him play will know.

We want to keep our best young players for as long as we can and I have no doubt that James can go on and play at the highest level."Every player and member of staff loves working with him.

He is grounded, is a class act and is very brave in his approach to games."He's turning a lot of heads as we knew he would, and we hope that we can help him develop further in the coming seasons.

I see him playing an integral part as we strive to improve and get to where we want to be as a team." Watch USA v Republic of Ireland on Saturday from 7pm live on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player and follow a live blog on RTÉ.ie/Sport and the RTÉ News app.
