Prices are back on the rise at UK supermarkets in our weekly comparison of the same eight shopping essentials. And this week we have a new most expensive supermarket for the first time in months.
That title goes to Morrisons this week - overtaking Asda, after a price increase on its beef mince. Asda has also had a slight increase - albeit just a penny though - on its tin of baked beans.
Lidl is standing firm to remain the cheapest supermarket in our price comparison of the same eight essentials which we have been tracking since March 2022.
The basket includes milk, bread, coffee, tea bags, butter, beans, chicken and mince.
