Supercomputer predicts league table after Everton punishment as Manchester United suffer record slump

A footballing supercomputer has predicted that Manchester United will endure their worst season for over 30 years. Erik ten Hag's side have endured a torrid first few months of the campaign, losing nine of their 18 games across all competitions.

Back-to-back Premier League wins over Fulham and Luton have lifted them into sixth for now, but neither performance was convincing.

It's been a tough few months for United and a supercomputer provided by Bettingexpert is predicting things to get worse. According to their calculations, the Reds look set finish in eighth on 58 points.

That would be United's lowest-ever Premier League finish and their worst campaign since 1989/1990, a year that saw Sir Alex Ferguson's side finish 13th, their second bottom-half finish in a row.
