BBC bosses are putting 'contingencies in place' in case Adam Thomas is not well enough to compete in tonight's Strictly Come Dancing show.
The Mancunian actor has been suffering from illness and pulled out of a scheduled appearance on the show's spin off programme It Takes Two last night.
He was banned from rehearsals ahead of the show to avoid a flu outbreak among the cast, the Mirror reports. It has not yet been confirmed whether the 35-year-old Waterloo Road star will be able to appear on tonight's Halloween special.
A Strictly spokesperson said 'the health and well-being of the cast' is an 'absolute priority' and plans are being drafted should Adam be too sick to perform in the Halloween special this evening.
