Stirling University swimmer Duncan Scott has taken his place among Team GB’s all-time greatest Olympians after securing yet another medal in Paris.

The 27-year-old took silver in the men’s 200m individual medley in the pool in the French capital – making it an incredible EIGHT medals from three games.

He finished as the runner -up to French poster boy Leon Marchand, who claimed his fourth gold of the games so far. The silver means Scott now holds more Olympic medals than cycling icon Sir Chris Hoy – even though Hoy has an astounding six gold medals to his name.

At the 2016 Rio Olympics, Scott won a silver in the 4×200m freestyle relay. He also won another silver in the 4×100m medley relay.
