Steven Gerrard's job in Saudi Arabia is hanging in the balance according to a report - and the former Rangers boss could soon face the indignity of being SACKED by Al-Ettifaq.

Gerrard started well after taking over in the middle east and picked up a famous win over Al-Nassr in the early stages of the season.

His star-studded team, which includes former Liverpool pair Gini Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson as well as ex Celtic striker Moussa Dembele and Scotland star Jack Hendry, won four of their first seven games, but have won just twice since, and recently drew with bottom side Al-Hazm in an embarrassing result.

They sit eighth and some way off the pace from where they expected to be. The Guardian say their poor form has Gerrard in 'trouble' with his job 'hanging in the balance' after a dreary recent run.
