Steven Davis has admitted he wants to play for Rangers again despite being ruled out for the season and his contract expiring in the summer.
The Northern Ireland midfielder went under the knife earlier this year after suffering a tear to his ACL during a freak training ground incident just before Christmas.
Michael O'Neill, Northern Ireland manager, said he has spoken to the 38-year-old and revealed he has a "real drive" to play again for club and country.
Davis has been warned it could take anywhere from six months to a year before he’s able to resume action. Record Sport reported last month that a deal could be waiting on Davis should he prove his fitness levels to manager Michael Beale.
