Steve Marsella has been appointed the new head coach of Ladakh FC. The former Inverness and Hibs goalkeeping coach has been named manager of the newly-founded Indian side.
Marsella is set to build a team from scratch as they look to win a place in the new Indian Premier League 2. The Englishman, who has also worked as head of recruitment for Inverness and Kilmarnock, has been responsible for bringing the likes of Jonny Hayes, Marley Watkins, Alan Power, Billy McKay and Andrew Shinnie to Scotland Marsella has helped many of their players hit the heights in the Scottish Premiership and now he will try to do the same with his new club - whose Leh home sits 11,00 feet above sea level.
The players will wear 100 percent recycled kits, have to cycle to and from training, they will have a zero plastic use and players will have it in their contracts to clean up local rivers and to get involved in community awareness programs.
