The people of Pakistan have been long-time fans of Bollywood and Indian artists, with Indian movies finding a lot of love from the neighbouring country.

Over the years, a lot of people in Pakistan have expressed their love for Indian film stars and something similar happened during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) encounter between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings.

A fan was present in the ground with a poster featuring pictures of actor Sonam Bajwa along with the caption - "I believe in Sonam Bajwa supremacy.

The fan was featured on TV during the match in Rawanpindi and even the actor, who is well known for featuring in Punjabi movies, took notice and reacted to the viral gesture. "This is so sweet," Bajwa wrote on social media.

It was back in 2008, during the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) when Pakistan players last played in the T20 league. Since then, no player from the neighbouring country has been allowed to feature in the Indian franchise-based cricket league. However, some discarded Pakistani players would go on to play for franchises of IPL team owners, who have bought sides in the United States of America. Mumbai Indians, who have won the IPL a record five times, have bought the MI New York franchise in the Major League Cricket (USA).

The eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) ended on Saturday with Lahore Qalandars emerging as the winners. The Shaheen Afridi-led side defeated Multan Sultans by 1 run in a thrilling summit clash. Opting to bat first, the Qalandars posted a huge total of 200/6 in 20 overs with Abdullah Shafique smashing 65 off 40 balls and Shaheen playing a quick knock of 44* off just 15 balls. Later, the Sultans were restricted at 199/8 as the Qalandars lifted their second PSL title. As the thrilling T20 league of Pakistan is now over, the fans are gearing up for the 16th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL), which will kick-start from March 31.

Lahore Qalandars pulled off a stunning last-ball win over Multan Sultans to claim their second consecutive Pakistan Super League (PSL) title in Lahore on Saturday. In the process, Shaheen Afridi became the first captain ever to win back-to-back PSL titles and celebrations erupted the moment Khushdil Shah was run out in the final ball of the match. With 13 runs needed off the final over, the ball was handed over to the young Zaman Khan but the cricketers proved to be the star for his side as he conceded just 11 runs.

Rossouw scored his century in 41 balls but on Saturday, Usman looked in almost perfect touch as he ended up with 120 off just 43 deliveries.
