Maidstone’s long wait for a National League win goes on after losing at Solihull Moors. Jamey Osborne broke the deadlock just before the break and Joe Sbarra made sure of the points in the second half.
Bottom side Maidstone are now 15 games without a win, a run stretching back to the end of November. Caretaker boss George Elokobi gave a debut to left-back Kevin Berkoe following his loan move from Salford yesterday.
He replaced Tushaun Walters in the only change from the side who drew 1-1 with Scunthorpe on Tuesday night. Solihull, five games without a win, edged a quiet first half but were restricted to little in the way of chances by the Stones defence.
Maidstone struggled to create much going the other way, a couple of efforts from outside the box from Roarie Deacon and Berkoe the sum of their efforts, although they enjoyed more possession in Moors territory as the half wore on.
