Sir Jim Ratcliffe 'preparing restructured bid' amid Manchester United takeover proposal

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is preparing a "restructured" offer to speed up the takeover process at Manchester United. That's according to reports from Bloomberg as the saga continues to rumble on 10 months after the Glazer family announced a "strategic review" of their ownership.

As things stand, there has been no proper breakthrough as the Americans continue to mull over formal approaches from two main bidders.

Proposals headed up by Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe - via his INEOS company - have yet to be accepted by the Glazer family.

It's understood current offers are worth over £5billion.
