The worth of Sir Jim Ratcliffe's liquid assets has been confirmed. On Christmas Eve, Manchester United announced that the 71-year-old reached an agreement with the Glazer Family to acquire a 25 per cent stake in the club, subject to Premier League ratification.

In an official statement, Ratcliffe vowed to 'provide funds intended to enable future investment into Old Trafford'. The INEOS chairman also insisted that he aims to take United back to the 'the very top of English, European and world football'.

In order to fulfil such ambitious plans, Ratcliffe will have to fork out millions, upon millions of great British pounds to fund a seismic rebuild – on and off the pitch. As filed on the U.S Securities and Exchange Commission, a Manchester United plc tender offer statement was uploaded on February 12, 2024, detailing Ratcliffe's deal.
