SFA call in VAR 'specialists' to operate technology as they look to end Premiership controversy

dailyrecord.co.uk

The SFA is considering taking in special officials in a bid to improve the level of refereeing of VAR in Scotland, according to reports.

Scottish Premiership clubs have been critical of the technology since it was introduced just before the World Cup in October last year.

Managers, pundits, players and fans have all hit out and many have called for the video technology to be scrapped until officials at the SFA can get it right.

The hierarchy at Dundee United have called for a summit on VAR after they conceded a penalty against St Mirren at Tannadice on Saturday.
