'Severe' delays as M4 accident causes long delays - live updates

There are 'severe' delays on the M4 after an accident closed two lanes. It has happened on the westbound carriageway at junction 24 Coldra at lunchtime on Thursday, March 16.

Traffic monitoring Inrix is showing that travel time is around 75 minutes by 2pm.Traffic officers and emergency services are at the scene.

There has also been an earlier issue in the westbound Brynglas Tunnel that has added to delays.Congestion is back to junction 23A at Magor Services.
