Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero has backed Erling Haaland to help break the club's Champions League 'hoodoo'. Haaland arrived at the Etihad Stadium during the summer from Borussia Dortmund and has already taken the Premier League by storm.

On Saturday he scored his 10th goal in just six matches in the division as the Blues were held to a stalemate by Aston Villa.

With City having been dominant in the Premier League since Pep Guardiola arrived at the club, many pundits have claimed that Haaland has been brought in to push the Blues over the line in Europe.
