Manchester United endured one of the darkest days in their Premier League history on Saturday evening when they were battered 4-0 by Brentford. The clash at the Brentford Community Stadium was essentially all over after 35 minutes.
Goals from Josh Dasilva, Mathias Jensen, Ben Mee and Bryan Mbeumo fired the Bees into a four-goal lead before the break, as Erik ten Hag’s United were completely overwhelmed.
Despite the game being long dead by half-time, the Dutchman had to at least try and revive his side’s fortunes in the second period.
To that end, Ten Hag pulled the trigger on a triple change at the break, including sending Scott McTominay on in place of Fred in midfield.
