Scott Brown is set to return to Glasgow to say a proper farewell to the Celtic fans almost two years to the day that he captained the club for the last time.
Brown, now in charge of Fleetwood Town, after taking his first steps into management, is heading to the city along with former team-mate Mikael Lustig for a night of celebration with the supporters and proceeds from the night will be donated to the Celtic FC Foundation.
The ex Hoops and Scotland captain enjoyed a trophy-laden 14-year career in the east end of Glasgow but it ended in disappointment as Celtic failed to win any silverware in his last season and Brown was also denied the opportunity to say farewell to the fans who were locked out due to Covid.
Lustig left two years earlier with the former Sweden international spending seven years at Celtic, and he will also take to the stage at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on Thursday, May 18, 2023, with tickets on sale to season ticket holders.
