Scott Brown enjoyed a few ding-dongs with Vladimir Weiss when the Slovak was on loan at Rangers but the Celtic legend was able to take aim at his old rival from the Parkhead gantry as his old club put one over the winger on his return to Glasgow.
Weiss skippered Slovan Bratislava as they were thrashed 5-1 on an epic Champions League night for the Hoops at Parkhead. And Brown reckons the 34-year-old got too caught up in the emotion of the occasion with the Weiss having been a league and cup winner during his time on loan at the Light Blues under Walter Smith.
Brown was blown away by the display from Brendan Rodgers' side as they got off to a flyer in Uefa's elite competition. John Mjallby, who Brown played under when he was assistant to Neil Lennon who was on co-commentary, joined him in the TNT Sports studio.
Here’s how the trio and another former team-mate saw the bludgeoning of Bratislava. It’s one of the best performances I’ve seen at Celtic Park for a long time.
