Scotland squad revealed as Newcastle United star Ryan Fraser is recalled and Kieran Tierney returns

Steve Clarke has named a strong Nations League squad ahead of the country's upcoming vital triple header – with Ryan Fraser brought in from the cold.

The national team boss doesn't have his problems to seek with skipper Andy Robertson on the sidelines for the crunch doubler with Ukraine, which is sandwiched between hosting the Republic of Ireland at Hampden.

Scotland have a fighting chance of topping the group, however, the disastrous away defeat in Dublin still looms large. Robertson's absence will be keenly felt but Scotland remain strong at full-back, with Kieran Tierney, Nathan Patterson, Aaron Hickey, Anthony Ralston and Greg Taylor able to fill multiple slots across the backline.

Fraser returns after apologising from Clarke for withdrawing from the squad for a World Cup qualifying double header against Denmark and Moldova last year only to then be pictured in training with his club Newcastle United on the same day.
