A school was in 'lockdown', not letting pupils leave, after reports of men behaving suspiciously nearby. Police were called to reports of two men said to be behaving suspiciously on Fir Tree Avenue, the Manchester Evening News understands, at around 3.15pm yesterday, October 19.
The road is host to the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Primary School in Oldham. The school is understood to have kept students inside the school until police attended the scene in a decision taken by staff. However, the two men mentioned in the reports were not seen by officers and there was no evidence of a crime having occurred, the M.E.N.
