Ryan Nyambe has explained that it was a difficult decision to leave Blackburn Rovers this summer but a desire to get out of his comfort zone and experience something new was behind his decision to leave Ewood Park.
The 24-year-old defender ended his association with Rovers this summer after spending more than a decade at Ewood Park in both the youth and first teams there.
After making his debut aged 17, Nyambe racked up almost 200 appearances in all competitions for Blackburn. Nyambe did not agree fresh terms with Rovers this summer and departed the club after his contract expired.
He has since joined fellow Championship side Wigan Athletic on an initial one-year deal. Callum Brittain transfer set to trigger Blackburn Rovers exit as Barnsley boss confirms interest Nyambe has now opened up on his decision to leave Rovers after joining the Latics and openly admits he 'loves' Blackburn for what the club did for him and his football career.
