Forgotten Ryan Gauld has admitted he would consider a Canada call up after failing to make the breakthrough for Scotland. The former Dundee United and Sporting playmaker has enjoyed a successful career away from the Scottish Premiership in Portugal and America, and was named Player of the Year for Vancouver Whitecaps last term after an outstanding season in the MLS.
The 27-year-old has continued his form into the new campaign, but has still yet to receive a look-in from Scotland with boss Steve Clarke for the Euro qualifiers.
Clarke has a host of midfield options to pick from as he pushes to reach for Euro 2024 with John McGinn the mainstay in Gauld's midfield role.
Despite winning 11 caps for Scotland Under-21s, Gauld has not even been called up for a squad since 2014 when Gordon Strachan was in charge of the national side and is yet to receive a senior cap.
