Road in Cardiff closed in both directions 'due to police incident'

A major road in Cardiff has been closed while police respond to an incident. Albany Road, in the Roath area of the city, was closed in both directions due to a police incident on Wednesday morning, traffic monitoring website Inrix reports.

Cardiff Bus has announced that a number of bus routes have been diverted.Routes 28/28A, 52 and 57/58 will be diverting after Wellfield Road via Albany Road (eastern end) and Newport Road, Cardiff Bus has said, while routes 1 and 2 are diverting via Ninian Road and Wedal Road not serving Albany Road, Crwys Rd or Whitchurch Road.Follow our live blog below for updates.
