Rio Ferdinand outlines two options for Jadon Sancho after Manchester United star’s statement

manchestereveningnews.co.uk

Rio Ferdinand says Jadon Sancho has backed himself into a corner leaving only two future options following his remarkable social media post hitting back at Erik ten Hag’s decision to omit him from the Manchester United squad against Arsenal.

The 23-year-old had been left out by his manager due to his training levels being substandard, something Sancho vehemently disagrees with.

The winger said he has been a “scapegoat for a long time”. Sancho came off the bench in United’s first three matches against Wolves, Tottenham and Nottingham Forest, albeit is yet to start this season.

Ten Hag frequently included Sancho in his team towards the end of last year despite tepid displays. The England international has spent a number of weeks away from the main squad over the festive period to rebuild his form and confidence.
