England Under 21s boss, Lee Carsley has picked his final squad for the upcoming European Championships in Romania and Georgia and his failure to pick Rico Lewis has left England fans scratching their heads.

After lifting the Champions League last Saturday, the right-back turned midfield player would’ve been many people’s first pick.

Lewis has made 23 appearances for City this season, 14 of those coming in the Premier League where he impressed stepping into midfield like a natural Guardiola full-back.

The Bury-born 18-year-old also featured for City in the Champions League. His goal against Sevilla in the group stage meant he became the youngest player to score in their first start in the competition.
