Gillingham have completed a permanent deal to sign Swindon Town wing-back Remeao Hutton. The 25-year-old had been strongly linked with a move to Priestfield and his arrival has now been confirmed.
Hutton was left out of Swindon’s team last weekend because he “wasn’t in the right frame of mind” according to their former boss Michael Flynn, who was sacked on Monday.
Speaking to the Gills following his move, Hutton said: "Everyone seems really friendly here so I can't wait to get going. The new owners are looking to grow the club and I want to be a part of that. "I know a few of the lads already so that was a factor in coming here.
I want to create as many chances as possible." Head Coach Stephen Clemence added: “I am delighted that we have managed to secure Remeao’s signature.
