Reigning Quattro British GP2 Champion Jack Scott will make his debut in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship in 2023, joining the Rapid CDH Racing Kawasaki team. Scott lifted the GP2 crown this season with an incredible 14 race wins and a further podium finish, including winning the race overall at Thruxton ahead of eventual Supersport Champion Jack Kennedy, who also lines up in Bennetts BSB in 2023.
21-year-old Scott from Luton becomes the fourth reigning support class champion to join the Superbike grid next season, with Kennedy (Quattro Group British Supersport), Davey Todd (Pirelli National Superstock) and Max Cook (Pirelli National Junior Superstock Championship). “I have raced in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship support classes for the last six years now with 117 races and 71 podiums under my belt, so I feel the next step is due.
2022 was a fantastic year for me on the RS Racing Kalex in the GP2 class and competing with the Supersport riders,” said Scott. “Winning the race overall at Thruxton against the likes of Jack Kennedy, Brad Perie, Luke Stapleford and Harry Truelove was amazing, but winning the GP2 Championship title was unbelievable.
Now having the opportunity to step up to the Superbike class is a dream come true. “I would like to say a big thank you to Dean at CDH Racing for offering me the ride and I am mega excited to finally be racing a Superbike.
