Star batter Sarfaraz Khan smashed a stylish 62 off 66 balls on his Test debut for India during the third Test against England in Rajkot.

He put on a sparkling show of batting and looked on course to hit a big score but a miscommunication with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja in the middle cut short his brilliant innings.

Sarfaraz was run out by Mark Wood at the non-striker's end. Jadeja played the ball towards mid-on and took a couple of steps before denying Sarfaraz the single.

By this time, the debutant was already way out of his crease and a direct hit from Wood caught him well short at non-striker's end.
