Rangers will reportedly write to the SFA to seek an explanation over why Alfredo Morelos goal was chalked off against Celtic.

The Colombian had the ball in the net after beating Alistair Johnston to the ball in the box from Borna Barisic's cross, but referee Kevin Clancy quickly blew the whistle for a foul on the Celtic defender before the ball nestled beyond Joe Hart.

In the VAR room Nick Walsh opted against sending Clancy to the monitor to review the incident, which took place before Kyogo had opened the scoring at Celtic Park.

Sky Sports now claim Rangers will write to the SFA for an explanation over the incident. Speaking post match, boss Michael Beale highlighted Morelos' disallowed goal as well as a perceived handball from Jota in the build up to Celtic's second goal as flashpoints.
