It went from bad to worse for Rangers in what can only be described as the week from hell. The Cyprus heat proved too much of a pressure cooker for interim boss Steven Davis and his Rangers team despite a strong start against Real Betis in the Europa League group, the European newcomers Aris Limassol put the Light Blues to the sword.

It all went wrong inside the first ten minutes when an unchallenged Alex Moucketou-Moussounda headed home leaving Jack Butland with no chance before Cyriel Dessers saw his finish ruled out for offside.

Aris hit Rangers for double trouble on the hour mark when a deadly counter attack saw Shavy Babicka fire home before Abdallah Sima got his customary Rangers goal to give Davis' men and the travelling contingent hope.

In the end it was lacklustre in Limassol for the Light Blues. Here's how they rated out of ten. JACK BUTLAND: No chance with the goals and looked like a man frustrated by the efforts of those in front of him.
