Bournemouth star Marcus Tavernier has branded brother James' decision to join Rangers as his "best" ever. The Ibrox skipper has came under heavy criticism in the final weeks of Michael Beale's tenure and felt fury from fans during Steven Davis' interim spell in charge with banners unveiled questioning the leadership inside the dressing room.
But Marcus has insisted James has loved life in Glasgow since making the move to Ibrox in 2015 - leading the club to a Premiership title and Scottish Cup in that time.
Asked by Sky Sports News if he had watched his brother face off against Celtic, he said: 'I've only been to one I believe. It was when they won on penalties in the cup game and I've never experienced anything like that in terms of atmosphere in terms of a game.
It's crazy. The fans up there worship their players like they are gods - it is just different. It is the best decision he has made in his career going up there and being a part of it. " Meanwhile, former ex-Grade One referee Steven Conroy has warned Don Robertson he faces an intense atmosphere when he referees the clash with Hibs.
