Rangers flop Jose Cifuentes has a medical booked at Aris Thessaloniki on Monday according to reports in Greece as the South American finally prepares to seal his Ibrox exit.

The Ecuador international is heading to the Super League side on an initial season-long loan with an obligation to buy for a fee of around £4 million.

Michael Beale predicted big things from Cifuentes when he arrived from LAFC last summer but he failed to live up to the hype and was shipped out to Cruzeiro on loan in January.

Rangers will desperate to recoup the £1.2 million they spent on him and to make a profit would be a real boost for a player who toiled so badly in Glasgow and BN Sport say that it’s nearing a completion.
