Unwanted Ryan Kent looks set to be allowed to leave Fenerbahce on loan in January only six months after joining – but it doesn't appear he will be back at Rangers.

Kent has been left frustrated on the fringes of the squad in Istanbul after coming in for stinging criticism from his boss Ismail Kartal over his fitness and performance levels since arriving from the Scottish Premiership – and the Turkish side are said to be willing to ship the 27-year-old out on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

Reports had initially suggest that Rangers were keen on bringing back the winger to work under Philippe Clement – but the Light Blues could be priced out of a move.

Vatan report that after initial talks the salary demands the Glasgow giants would have to cover have proven to be "too much".
